Help families cherish every second together

At 68, Anne was fit, happy, and healthy.

Now two years on, Anne relies on her son Nick, 31, to help do the everyday things that we all take for granted: getting dressed, making a cup of tea, or even cooking dinner. Like more than 421,000 Australians, Anne lives with dementia.

Your donation today helps families like Nick and Anne’s get the support they need to make the most of their time together and cherish every second.

From diagnosis to dedication

After Anne received her diagnosis, Nick moved in with her for a while to help manage her appointments and spend precious time together.  But after six months, he decided to move back home indefinitely.

“I wanted to get as much quality time as possible while she was still the Mum I’ve always known. Before dementia takes her bit by bit.”

When caring roles are reversed, support services can make a life-changing difference.

Your donation can help us continue to make life better for the thousands of Australians impacted by dementia so they can cherish every second with their loved ones.

When caring roles are reversed

Nick now manages every aspect of Anne’s life. From making sure she has a shower and helping her get dressed to coordinating her appointments and outside support. Nick’s life, much like his mum’s, has changed more than he could’ve imagined.
