Dementia doesn't take nights and weekends off.
Danny has been caring for his wife Resina since her diagnosis with dementia. He describes a life that changed gradually – then suddenly, and completely.

At first, Resina would forget where she had parked the car or miss an appointment. Later, she began asking the same questions over and over again.

As the changes became more noticeable, Danny and their sons watched the person they loved begin to struggle with things that had once come naturally to her.

"I didn't want to trouble my friends or family after 10 o'clock at night. And then in the moment of need, who do I talk to?" says Danny.

Please donate now to help keep the National Dementia Helpline available – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for people like Danny.

The National Dementia Helpline receives government support, but there is a gap.

The Helpline can only operate 24/7, 365 days a year with the support of our caring and generous community.
